Our answer: no, it is not more difficult, it is just different. The most important thing is to keep your hands smooth and well moisturised, making it easier to handle the silks. Keep your handcream at the ready! Also it is helpful to use a product like 'Thread Heaven' (equivalent to the old-fashioned wax) to keep your silk flowing smoothly.
